Big thanks and an update from Henry - yes, he's back!

I really hope you and your family are well and safe.

I’d never have guessed that so much would change in twelve weeks since I went on sabbatical. Who would have guessed that a virus would bring such unprecedented chaos?

But thanks to your wonderful generosity and the hard work and capable commitment of our staff and volunteers, REACH has been able to continue to provide food, debt advice and other support to people facing poverty and crisis in and around Haverhill.

All of us are so grateful to you - we’re so glad of your support.

My three months away from the office have given me a much clearer sense of longer term purpose and direction for REACH.  I’m currently discussing these ideas with the team and look forward to sharing those longer term plans with you in due course.

But in the short term, with the economic impact of coronavirus about to really start biting, we’re expecting many more local families, couples and individuals of all ages and all walks of life to need our collective support to get through the challenges ahead.

I’ll be in touch again soon to give you an update on what’s been happening, our plans for the coming months, and how you can help people in and around Haverhill to weather the storms – or indeed get support if yours is one of the families affected.

We’ll get through this together!
