Being told that you are being made redundant can come as quite a shock especially if you have worked for a company for a long period of time. It can bring up a myriad of feelings, but please be reassured that you have nothing to be ashamed of and we are here to help in any way that we can!
ACAS has produced a helpful page giving basic facts about your rights and the legalities of making somebody redundant - www.acas.org.uk/your-rights-during-redundancy . They have a free helpline, 0300 123 1100. Whilst they cannot offer an opinion or legal advice, they can clarify the facts and you can remain anonymous when you discuss your situation with them.
